REETH AND MUKER SHOWS,

Swaledale

Reeth and Muker are villages on the River Swale.

Swaledale, like Wensleydale to its south, is a valley carved out of the limestone and gritstone by an ancient glacier.  The two shows are traditional Yorkshire agricultural shows, with astonishing fell races, prizes for livestock, dressage, crafts etc.. Reeth is the larger of the two shows, whereas Muker is blessed by the Silver Band who play throughout and then entertain outside the village pub when the show is done. Wensleydale Craft Fairs is privileged to be invited to run a crafts marquee at both shows.
